Mphasis running a Change Management program

After the merger and acquisition of majority stake by EDS and then 'hp' , Mphasis in 2008-2009 has grown as a very large organisation. While the company expanded in various business focus areas , by doing the acquisitions, Mphasis investor expectations have gone up. Company has been doing well on managing the customer expectations by being agile, nimble and managing the costs.

There are various initiatives and programs which were not there in the earlier company.
Some of these are very new:

a. CSR - planned initiative under structured plan . Where disabled people would find jobs , contribute in an IT organisations and IT people will spend time to teach and make contribution in the learning of various categories of backward or i would call lower income strata people.

b. Internally , cost cutting run as Save a $ a day campaign. This had more than 15000 ideas coming from various employees and teams . Some of these were simple to implement . Initial lot may relate to only saving costs by admin / facilities type of activities.

Some of these were in strategic in nature.

c. Training investment to cross skill employees and get them to learn new things which are needed by clients

d. Hiring program to reward employees who can bring talent by getting friends and known acquintances.

e. Leadership program to identify the top performers and reward these folks into the fast track grooming to take newer and larger responsibilities.

f. Public information about the results being published in most transparent way as per the Indian GAAP processes and providing detailed information , including the web site which has all analyst review reports in a single place.

All these changes are going to provide guidance for long term cultural changes and bring in good monitoring controls for management to lead the changing face of business in theIndian and international scenerio.

Now, there is an impetus to grow and expectations from everyone to put together a new face of the growing organisation where more than 30,000 people are employed.
